Foster and Kinship Care

Our foster and kinship care programs support children and young people who are unable to live with their birth parents and provides full training and support to our community of carers.

PaTH (Path to Healing) – Therapeutic Foster Care

PaTH (Path to Healing) Therapeutic Foster Care offers children intensive, trauma-informed care in a safe and nurturing home environment.

Treatment Foster Care Australia (TFCA)

Treatment Foster Care Australia is a specialised foster care program that supports children and young people with complex behaviours.

Foster Care

Our foster care program places children and young people – who are unable to live at home – in temporary foster care.

Kinship Care

Our kinship care services support children who are unable to live with their birth parents by placing them with a relative or people who they’ve had a significant relationship with.

Targeted Care Packages (TCP)

The Targeted Care Packages program supports children and young people to sustain their current placements, as well as with the establishment of new placements.

Lead Tenant Mentor

Lead Tenant provides semi-independent out-of-home care accommodation for young people and promotes independent living skills in a safe and supported environment.

Kinship Care First Supports

This program provides a holistic view of the current and ongoing needs of children in kinship care, as well as that of the kinship carers themselves.

Families Together aims to support families to keep children safe at home and prevent unnecessary entry into out-of-home care.

Staying on Track

Staying on Track (SoT) is an early intervention program for young people in, and after youth detention, preparing them for a successful transition back into the community.

Functional Family Therapy – Youth (FFT-Y)

FFT-Y is a successful evidence-based program that achieves results for children and young people by working closely with their families to reduce the intergenerational effects of sustained contact with the justice system

Family Law Services

Family law services help parents, grandparents and foster carers to focus on the best interests of their children.

Access to Early Learning (AEL)

Access to Early Learning is an effective and targeted early intervention program funded by the Department of Education and Training that enables three-year-old children from families with complex needs to fully participate in quality, universal early education and care by addressing barriers to their participation, whether it be system barriers, family barriers or interpersonal barriers.

Restoring Families

Restoring Families is OzChild’s intensive family support program, working alongside families to strengthen relationships, build safety and support children to thrive at home.

Stepping Stones to School

Stepping Stones to School is an early intervention school-readiness program which supports at-risk families.

Koorie Early Years Network (KEYN)

OzChild facilitates and is a founding member of the Koorie Early Years Network (KEYN) which operates in South-West Victoria.

Functional Family Therapy supports families who have been affected by an adolescent behaving in an aggressive way within the home.

Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare works with children, young people and their family or kin to help them strengthen relationships, improve communication and respond to challenging behaviours.

This service provides support to children and families living in the Bayside Peninsula area, where there are concerns about child and family wellbeing.

Multisystemic Therapy (MST)

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is a family and home-based treatment that strives to change how young people function in their natural settings in ways that promote positive social behaviour.

Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN)

Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect® is an in-home intervention model working with families with serious clinical needs, as directed by child protection (due to physical abuse or neglect).

Orange Door

The Orange Door is a multi-agency partnership bringing together Family Violence services, Family Support Services and Men’s Behaviour Change programs.

The SafeCare Model is an evidence-based parenting program for parents of children aged 0-5 who are at-risk of, or have been reported for child neglect or physical abuse.
