Families First
The Families First program aims to help children and young people remain at home whilst providing support to those in out-of-home care on their return home.
The Families First program works on a set of goals developed by families with the assistance of a Families First worker.
The program provides families with a worker who can work with families in their own home for up to two or three visits per week over a four to six-week period. If a child is returning to the home after a stay in an out-of-home foster care program, the worker can remain involved with the family for up to 10 to 12 weeks.
