Spotlight on: OzChild’s Vice-Regal Patronage

Two years ago, OzChild was honoured to be recognised under the Vice-Regal Patronage of the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC. While time has passed since that recognition, its significance continues.

For us, the Governor’s patronage is not just a ceremonial title – it is a reminder of the vital role collaboration plays in creating a brighter future for children and young people. As the African proverb reminds us, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  At OzChild, we know that the village is made up of carers, families, community organisations, government, and philanthropic and corporate supporters who share our vision of giving every child the chance to shine.

We want to shine a light on the partnerships that make our work possible, and by celebrating these partnerships, we hope to inspire new connections and remind our supporters that behind every child’s success story is a village of people who believed in them.
