For 170 years OzChild has been focused on creating brighter futures for children and young people. It is our hope that by giving children and young people the chance to shine, by delivering programs and services that work, and by supporting them to thrive in safe and nurturing homes, the children of today will lead us to a brighter tomorrow.
OzChild has a rich history of providing care for children and young people dating back to 1851. While our programs and services have evolved, we have never lost sight of our vision that all children and young people are safe, respected, nurtured, and reach their full potential.
May the children of today lead us to a brighter tomorrow
This statement encapsulates the very essence of the work we do at OzChild. For 170 years we have been focused on creating brighter futures for children and young people.
Understanding, honoring, and learning from our history, stretching back to the antecedents of the original Melbourne Orphanage in 1851, has been an important part of OzChild’s evolution and that of the child welfare sector. Our programs and services have evolved as we strive for a better future, and never lose sight of our vision that all children and young people are safe, respected, nurtured, and reach their full potential.
Marking 170 years
