Journey to Reconciliation
OzChild’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in Review
During 2017-2019 OzChild’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) gave us clear direction and cemented our commitment to true reconciliation.
We are proud of the headway we have made in advancing reconciliation at OzChild. Our Innovate RAP
focused on building our capability to support self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
children, families, and communities. Our journey has not been without challenges and great learnings, giving
us invaluable insight into the gaps that exist and what we can do to keep progressing. Outlined below are our
key achievements and future aspirations.
NAIDOC Week 2019 at OzChild
Voice. Treaty. Truth.
Working together for a shared future.
OzChild staff around the country celebrated NAIDOC Week 2019 by immersing themselves in a variety of
cultural activities with local Aboriginal organisations and communities. Activities ranged from art based and
family fun days, to promoting improved health outcomes for Aboriginal people and families.

Acknowledgement of Country
OzChild acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work. We acknowledge their cultures are living ones, which relate to their ongoing connection to all things living and non-living on land, sea and sky.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present.
May the children of today lead us to a brighter tomorrow.
