Celebrating Youth Week 2019
Youth Week celebrations take place across Australia every year and are a chance to celebrate the contributions young people are making to their local communities. In 2019, Youth Week celebrations are being held simultaneously in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Hayden is 24 and a foster carer of 3 siblings
“It gives young people an opportunity to voice their ideas and views. They get to express themselves and have a say as to what happens in their lives”.
Hayden was just 21 when he became a foster carer. Now 24, he has three siblings permanently in his care.
Hayden is a great example of the amazing things young people are doing right across the country, highlighting the positive impact you can have on your community no matter your age.
Queensland Youth Week – 3-14 April
Queensland Youth Week (QYW19) is an annual celebration allowing us all to reflect on young people aged 12 to 25 and the positive contributions they make to Queensland communities.
The theme for 2019 is ‘unlimited’ – celebrating the boundless energy young people bring to our communities and encouraging them to look to the future and see limitless possibilities.
Victorian Youth Week – 5-14 April
Victorian Youth Week is a week-long celebration of young people aged 12–25. It gives young people a chance to express their ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives. It’s also lots of fun and celebrates the positive contributions young people make to their communities.
