OzChild would like to warmly congratulate Lynne McCrae for winning the SACS Award for Leadership in the Not for Profit Sector - Non-Executive Leader Nominees - an outstanding achievement which recognises her contribution to the family and children's sector through her role as Manager of OzChild's Child and Family Support Services.
Lynne was seconded from Child Protection DHS in 2006 to manage OzChild's Child and Family Support Services at a time when it was undergoing significant change. Over the past three and a half years, Lynne has provided leadership in six areas across the Family Services spectrum including a large volunteer program; an Intensive Case Management service which is pioneering new ways to provide services to hard to reach clients and contribution to the busy Intake service as part of a regional Child FIRST Family Solutions partnership alliance; a Kinship program which has a history of ten years working with statutory clients and is now implementing a new Model of Care in the region; a counselling program funded through one of the shires and; as Chair of the regional emergency services program. Lynne's Award recognised her contribution to OzChild's Child and Family Support Service which today is at a point where it has a reputation for high quality services with a budget that has doubled since Lynne's arrival and a partnership alliance which is recognised as being the best performing in the state. Lynne's capacity to provide the necessary leadership, encouragement of collaborative practice, and ability to build strong teams with a shared purpose and vision has contributed strongly to these achievements. Presentation of the Awards were made at an evening dinner at The Australia Club on 14 July. The SACS (Social and Community Services) Leadership Awards recognise outstanding leadership initiatives that make a positive contribution to the organisation's efficiency and effectiveness while enhancing the workplace environment for all employees and OzChild is very pleased to announce Lynne's win. |
