As we celebrate the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers during National Volunteers Week I would particularly like to acknowledge the work of our volunteers.
Volunteers are the life blood of many organisations, including Ozchild.
Without your help many of our services would not be able to exist. We would not be able to provide the care to the children, young people and families who rely on us.
You generously give of your time, your love, your expertise; you open your hearts and your homes.
The work you do for the children, young people and families in our care is amazing. Without you they would not have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Your continuing hard work is setting them up for success.
You might offer them a shoulder to cry on, a great big bear hug, a place to come home to each day which is warm and inviting and most of all safe. The work you do might appear to go unnoticed but we appreciate everything you do.
This week allows us to remind all of you just how much your efforts are appreciated. It is my pleasure, on behalf of the staff and Board of Directors, to formally express our gratitude to all of OzChild’s volunteers.
Yours in making a difference,
Lisa J. Griffiths
