OzChild Foster Care is the major provider of foster care in the Southern Metropolitan region and is one of the largest programs in Victoria, providing around 160 placements on any one day.
The goal of Foster Care (Home Based Care) is to provide temporary or longer term care for children and young people in a safe and nurturing home, during a time when they cannot live with their family. Most of these children and young people are the subject of child protection orders through the Melbourne Children's Court.

Disability Respite Carers
We are seeking dynamic, compassionate and understanding individuals or couples to provide volunteer live in care for children and young people aged between 6 years to 18 years who experience a range of disabilities.
We are looking for individuals or couples, who reside in the Southern Region of Victoria to commit to a minimum two days a month to support a family in their own home providing much needed respite for the birth parents or full time carers.
