OzChild has a range of programs which enable children and young people to develop into confident and resilient individuals with effective relationships and positive life directions, and which include:

Opt In

The Opt In program delivers optimistic thinking skills for children who have experienced early childhood trauma.

Expressions

Explore, practise and learn communication skills in a fun way. The exciting new "Expressions" are designed to be used by all age groups across a variety of settings. Enquire about Expressions for families and Expressions for professionals.

Training for teachers

OzChild specialist staff can develop and provide specific student wellbeing training to support teachers, eg. behaviour management, learning difficulties, managing specific disorders and developing resilience skills in young people.

School based resilience programs

Best of Coping

Best of Coping is a resilience program aimed at teaching young people the basic skills of coping. Suitable for 13 to 18 year olds, It is based on research into coping and on soundly established cognitive-behavioural psychological principles.

Therapeutic Foster Care

The Circle Program is a pilot program run in partnership with the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF). This program provides additional therapeutic support to selected children in Foster Care who have experienced significant social and emotional damage.  Carers receive specialised training to enable them to be better equipped to understand the children's needs and support their development.  The specialist therapeutic intervention is provided by ACF.

Counselling

This short term counselling service is funded by the Mornington Peninsula Shire and is available to children, families and individuals residents in that municipality.
