A strategic alliance with ForCHILDREN (Australia) Inc

In mid 2009, OzChild formed a strategic alliance with ForCHILDREN (Australia) Inc to work together on four projects:

1. Establishing the OzChild A Chance to Shine program (financial assistance to talented children whose opportunities are limited by finance);
2. ForCHILDREN together with OzChild was asked by the International Forum for Child Welfare to host the IFCW Global Forum in Melbourne in 2011. Anglicare Victoria and the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare Inc. agreed to form the Consortium with ForCHILDREN and OzChild;
3. The Children's Hour - a major fundraising project.

ForCHILDREN (Australia) Inc was established in 2000 by a group of professional people who were involved in child health and welfare projects to assist colleagues involved in innovative programs and required help with funding and human resources.

OzChild and ForChildren are members of the International Forum for Child Welfare and members have been involved in a wide range of children’s issues including health, welfare and education both here and overseas.

It is a voice of advocacy for the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child.
