trainer-d.jeffreyDebbie is a counsellor, mental health nurse and trainer, whose work includes many years in adult mental health and in the adoption community, where she is known especially for parent training and coaching. Her special interest in work that is attachment and trauma focussed stems from personal experience as an adoptive parent and years of clinical work with adults who have lived through childhood trauma.

She is particularly interested in the application of mindfulness in this work with children, adults and parents.

Debbie is a registered Mental Health Nurse, has a Masters Degree in Social Health, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and is studying for the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Other training includes Dyadic Developmental Therapy (Dan Hughes) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

She has three children, two by adoption and one by birth, and lives on the northern beaches of Sydney with her family, two dogs and cat.
